cannot get QVL for ram on maximus
going to support page here:
https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/ro...sk_qvl_memory/
and selecting GSKILL checkbox, for example, gives no results.
Typing GSKILL into search box also gives no results.
Chrome, safari and Firefox show this behavior.*

Thank you. I got the 3600 16-16-16-36 2x16 gb (GTZN)
https://www.gskill.com/qvl/165/326/1...16D-32GTZN-Qvl
Put it in a maximus 12 hero wifi. After a few false starts and random button clicking in the bios, i got it to boot on auto.

You're welcome
It looks like you've reset to defaults which is a good starting point.
I'm not sure of your cpu but I suspect with the Maximus XII Hero WiFi, you'd have at least a 10700k or higher which should be able to run that with ease.
Have you tried setting your ram to its rated specs?Last edited by Nate152; 11-12-2020 at 04:51 PM.

Be careful with this QVL.
I have the module F4-4000C15Q-32GTZR, which is in the QVL for M12E, and also in this QVL, displayed as a module for M12E.
It has given me quite some trouble, check the history from this post, and the next 3-4 pages.
So far I haven't made it stable at 4000 MHz CL15. It holds at 3700 MHz CL14. Folks so far name the Daisy Chain memory layout (Z490) for not being able to hold the tight timings with four modules. If you consider something like that, perhaps a better bet would be 2 modules x16 GB.Last edited by martine-dee; 11-13-2020 at 05:19 PM.

Hi martine-dee
After reading through your posts it seems your cpu's IMC is the limiting factor. I see you went from 32GB 3200MHz c16 to 32GB 4000MHz c15, this is a huge overclock.
I wouldn't sweat it though, if you can't get it stable with comfortable voltages, I would still keep the 4000MHz and relax the timings a bit.
Since you are able to run tests with 15-16-16-36-2N, this tells us you're almost there.
Try - 16-16-16-36-2N
If you still get errors try
17-17-17-39-2N
G.Skill Trident Z ram overclocks very well, If any of the above is stable, I would then try for 4133MHz c19 with safe voltages of course.
I was hoping bwana would reply. If what you try works, maybe you can reply and give him some confidence.

After putting the ram in A2 and B2 (i hope you get a good laugh out of me struggling with them in A1 and B1- but I did get them to run 12-12-12-33 in those slots) I finally got up to 1.5 v vDIMM, 1.25 VCCIO and sysAgent, at 17-17-17-38 at DDR 4266. B-die is supposed to feel comfortable at those voltages.
But I did notice interesting flakiness in in LAN and USB- I thought I was getting lag. And most irritating of all, double clicking on a folder had me waiting three seconds before the window opened. Here I am with a system twice as fast as my last one, and it feels more laggy. Oh well, time to reinstall windows....Intel 3770K 4.4ghz, 1.24v. . . . . . . . . . . . . .Intel 4930k 4.7ghz 1.37v

Funny i had a friend that had the same issue/solution just this week on ryzen, he couldn't get 3600mhz xmp without errors, told him to switch slots (as per his mobo manual) and voila perfectly working xmp. Just goes to show that daisy chain tobo + slots really make a difference. I agree with Martine's assessment if you plan to go over 3600mhz get 2 sticks instead of 4. I'm stuck runing 3800mhz c16 on a 4000c17 kit 4x8gb kit

I like to see people like you and martin-dee pushing things to the edge and it looks like you're having success. If it's acting flakey you could be on the edge of stability, you can check Dimm temps to make sure they're not too high. When gaming my Dimm temps get to 40c-42c.
As you can see in my specs I have a 7700k, my ram is G.Skill Trident Z 4133MHz c19 but it can't do it. 4025MHz 17-17-17-39-2N is all she's got and I have it hammered hard with the vccio and system agent voltages. I wouldn't recommend using this much voltage for fear of burning out the memory controller.
I use HWinfo to show clock speeds, voltages and temps.
Click the pic to make it bigger.

Yea my 4 ram sticks reach 53c max during warzone probably due to the 1080ti outputting a ton of heat and the sticks being wedged under the dark rock pro4, which is another reason i'd recommend 2 sticks, then at least there's some room for the sticks to have some airflow between each other
