So the G.Skill kit will run at the advertised 14-15-15-35 with Ryzen.

Btw: You can also disable the GearDownMode in the BIOS settings. If you do so you can also run uneven timings like tCL 13.
Why would AMD implement such a feature you might ask? Well, you might have heard of the "Command Rate" before. Long story short: A lot of high-end RAM is not able to operate at 1T with higher frequency, therefore normally you would put it at 2T to get it stable. GearDownMode is kinda T1.5 - it offers higher compatibility than 1T while performing better than 2T - or vice versa being slower than 1T and less compatible than 2T. If your RAM can handle it, you can deactivate the GearDownMode and put it manually to 1T for the best performance.

Ok thanks - Looks like Newegg changed them from "back-orderable" to Auto Notify now, so unable to order anyway at this point. Maybe the dates got pushed out. Royal c14's look to be available for BO though.

I'll either just order some 2x16 3600 C16's or maybe wait a bit longer to see if the Neo/Neo Z C14's become available soon. TBH I'm doing content creation/productivity based work on a 3900 and eventually on a 5950, not gaming and will run DCOP basically so sure if the C14's would show much real world use benefit...

Still don't understand the *actual* difference between the Trident Neo (intel) and Neo Z (amd) other than price though... Might look at the TForce also...

For me i have 2 of 5800x both of them wont boot with 1900 fclk so i think the cpus are not the problem

I have seen someone said they already have 1.1.8.0

I hope it will fix our problems

I can boot at 1900 fclk, even at absurdly low voltages for SoC, like 1.0V and ProcODT at 28 ohms, but it's not stable no matter what I do: increasing/decreasing voltages, playing with clkdrvstr values, ProcODT, loosening timings, etc.

So, here's hoping things will improve in the future and my CPU doesn't have a weak IMC. I don't want to go beyond that, though, so I'm positive it'll be achievable in time.

The Ryzen 3000 Memory controller is quite robust and known to be, given 4000 & 5000 series using the same controller ... going to say based on many Ryzen's I own... robust is the word not weak.

    History mainly,
NEO is branding is for AMD Ryzen certified (all ram is in this brand), don't need to check, 2 kit works, 4 kit works, as intended. It was never for Intel but most likely works with it and the original first branding was flareX (still around) with no RGB.
Trident Z branding was XMP certified only originally (which worked with some Ryzen) and the list of approvals has grown over time but still should check RAM QVL's as YMMV.

G.skill took this approach to the market because ZEN1 had lot of initial issues running XMP and it showed commitment to the problem from them.

G.skill made the right call `imo and fair few Ryzen users appreciate g.skill efforts and I think there sale volumes reflect this.

    Hope you find this helpful.

I have Trident Z Neo ( f4-3800c14q-32gtzn ) which it is RAM QVL for ASUS X570 viii hero but i cant boot with 1:1:1 1900fclk
i tried to use only 2 dimms same issue even i swap them to the other 2 dimm s
i tried a1 b1 or a2 b2 it will not boot at all
and here my brother has i7 7700k i tried all 4 dimms with xmp enable and it works and i did memtest two times 0 errors

So i dont know what is the problem here
btw this my first time going red team no regret coming from 4770k @4.8ghz

RAM needs to be in slots 2 & 4 from the CPU for two and all 4 should be the same advice below,
Select DOCP Profile (see graphic), select FLCK 1900 and should be right to go.

I really need your whole system specifications to get idea of what might be the issue thereafter.
