Crosshair VIII 2501's for testing

I upgraded to 2502 last week on the X570 Hero, 3900x and 4 sticks of g skills trident z ram. Everything working smoothly.
Received the 5900x today, installed it and lost control of aura sync and my ram is now rainbow.....
Q-code displaying is FF, but everything seems to be working fine

Going to reinstall windows tomorrow and see if that resolve it.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Same for me. Changed the board from Crosshair VII Hero to X570 ROG Strix E-Gaming and installed a 5800X instead of the 3900X.
Lost access to the Corsair Vengeance RAM in ASUS Aura (this is working via the ASUS Aura Plugin for Icue from Corsair).

So i essentially lost the sync on the RAM.

But on the other hand it fixed the RGB Fusion issues (RGB Fusion was not detecting my GPU and Gigabyte support suggested cleaning out all Armoury Crate/Aura installations etc. - did not help anyway).

RGB is mystery at best and a pain in the a** at worst. Getting stuff to work is more luck than skill and getting everything in sync is still impossible...

Switched from 3950 to 5950X here on the CH8 and not experienced those problems. You may want to reinstall Armory Crate, also make sure the system is stable. Memory instability can cause the lighting services to trip up on occasion.

So I have a weird issue with all of these BIOS' thus far. Running a Crosshair VIII Formula with a 5900x, 4 x 8gb G.Skill 4000 C17.

Firstly DOCP does not work, highest FCLK I can hit is 1900. currently running at 1800 C14 which is the only thing that works.

Secondly and most importantly PBO does not function correctly for me. When setting PBO with auto CPU voltage, only CCX0 boosts to ~4.5Ghz whist CCX1 remains at ~3.7Ghz, running CBR15/20 multithreaded. If I set the voltage to 1.35v then both CCXs boost to ~4.3Ghz; adding voltage does not change the boost level.
In single thread mode the max speed is 4.95Ghz on different cores when voltage is set to manual and as high as ~5Ghz when on auto.

The Curve analyser only works with the voltage set to auto. So it boosts the ST performance well, but then the MT performance tanks as only one CCX is running at speed.
Setting a manual voltage to counteract this results in constant reboots for no reason. offset voltages exhibit the same behaviour as auto voltages.

The only way to get a consistent performance from system is to run the CPU at CCX0 48 CCX1 47 & 1.375v +.25 higher than that will result in reboots for apparent temp exceeded.

Can anyone else validate this behaviour??

Looks like a windows registry issue. I installed fresh windows on sprare hard drive and everything works fine.

I was having WHEA logger issues before this 2701 bios, which is why I came to the forums. I was running 2311 and 2502 before this, which both caused issues. I'm confident the ASUS Bios team will flesh all these issues out quickly. AGESA 1.1.8.0. should be live in Dec and that will bring us Precision Boost 2.0 which should be VERY exciting!

Is PBO2 not working 2701? It looks like we already have curve optimizer. Im not sure if there is more going to be included on the back end in AGESA 1180

Just wanted to share that it's been a happy and uneventful ride with my new Ryzen 7 5800X on Crosshair VIII Hero using BIOS 2701 so far.
CPU is running stock with PBO.

For memory: 2x8GB Sammy-B die 3600C15 from G.Skill running at 3600/1800. Will go for higher frequencies once AMD releases a future AGESA revision that allows to reach 1900+ fabric clocks more easily, and hopefully with less voltage.

I have 4 x 8 GB unknown die 3800C14 from G.Skill running at 3200/1600 and...thanks to Your "Uuneventfulness", which corelated to mine [0 WHEA errors, BSOD's, Crashes, massive FPS increase in HZD, from 10900K 5.3 GHz 70-72 fps to 84 - 90 fps [4K, Ultra/Maximum settings] I've upgraded mine to 3600/1200 just like You did and voila..so far, I'm "uneventfull" too

Hi bud, what's the exact model of your RAM?
Mine are F4-4000C17D-16GTZR (2 2x8Gb kits)... I'm trying to make them stable @3800 CAS16 with my 3900XT.
How do you manage to keep them @3600 CAS14?
Do you use settings from Calculator?
Can you please post them?
