Undervolting Strix 3090 - Need opinion on results
Hi,
I wanted to share my results with undervolting my GPU and ask for advices.
I have made this voltage curve : https://www.casimages.com/i/201111101728556514.png.html
I maxed out the power limit, haven't touched anything else.
Here's the results on timespy : https://www.3dmark.com/spy/15188725
GPuZ capture : https://www.casimages.com/i/201111101738196296.png.html
to compare, here are the results with the "factory oc profile" : https://www.3dmark.com/spy/15188951
https://www.casimages.com/i/201111101712715273.png.html
However i was just concerned about the perfcap reason, i got pwr and pwr thrm with the curve for instance. could it be an issue?
the results are better with the undervolt even if the card doest not clock as high, 1965vs2010
temps are almost 10c lower.
I used the bench in assassin's creed valhala
Stock oC

Max fps are lower with the curve but the average remains the same.
Also, no issue of perfcam with the curve but there are some with the stock voltage
Also, temps are WAY Lower with the curve !
Do you think I can call it a day and keep it that way or could it be better?

The rma wasn't related to the undervolt I hope?
I have another question about the OC of my Strix 3090, some stuff I don't understand I suppose.
i just made a Timespy, 0.906mv for 1980Mzh
here's the results: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/53125409?
it seems fine however i Had a tiny tiny bit of perfcap limit pwr and thrm.
I don't understand why the thrm since the temps maxed at 74c, which is far from the 91c? Is it because of the VRM?
My last stable results without any perfcap issue was this : https://www.3dmark.com/compare/spy/1...6/spy/15274495
1965Mhz @ 0.900v.
I was told the perfcap isn't a real issue but i try to understand how this works and if i can push more even if there is lots of green in the bar.
thanks
