Hi

I have a G501JW that the board went bad (way outside warranty).

I have now purchased 4 replacement boards from eBay and im having the same issue with all of them.

The board installs and boots fine but only see's the 4GB of ram (the soldered ram) and will not detect any ram in the 1 socket on the board.

I have tried 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB sticks. Both DDR3 and DDR3L.

Anyone know why this is doing this and have any suggestions?
