Anyone try these?

Funny thing that there are 2 bios updates, I checked yesterday and there was still the same old one 0707?

Ok I tried both of them.

Version 0901, breaks Q-fan control in bios!! You can not control the fans, set a fan profile. Once you click on it, it just frezze's up and you have to do a hard boot.

Version 0804 works fine like my previuos 0707 bios.

I have been running the 901 BIOS for over a week, and haven't seen that. But I use default standard profile in BIOS (though I set them explicitly to PWM). I use AIsuite to control them in windows.

I also installed the 901 Bios and am having no issues. Question if I may... I just ordered the ASUS Ryujin 360 to replace my Corsair 110i as it wasn't cooling my i9-10900k adequately, and I was wondering if you reccomend using the Bios Q-fan control or AIsuite to control it and my Chassis fans

I have used AISuite to control my fans on Asus motherboards over a number of generations and boards and haven't had an issue. I like the convenience of changing profiles on-the-fly in Windows. Others prefer setting them in BIOS. Also, if you have an Asus GPU, the GPU temperature is available as a source temperature. It is not available in BIOS.

Thanks for the quick response.

Yes I have the ASUS Tuf 3080 so that would definitely be a bonus.

I just tried editing the fan profiles in BIOS with F6. I created a manual profile and changed one from standard to turbo. Rebooted and they stuck. Then undid them the same way.

I am running the 901 BIOS provided a week ago by Shamino (Asus) in this thread, not the one posted in the support page:

https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?121439-Z490-New-bios-with-new-feature-OCTVB

Maybe there is a subtle difference as another person reported F6 freeze in the 901 BIOS posted on the support page, I just don't have that issue.

Nope the Shamino posted file and the official one are identical - I ran a checksum on both.
So don't know why some are having F6 issue. I don't.
