Same problem on ROG Strix B550-I Gaming
I have same exact problem with the ITX ROG Strix B550-I motherboard, I'm using compact Cisco SG110D-08 8-port gigabit switch and the Intel I225-V v2 is not playing well with it, I constantly would get packet loss from time to time and see NIC disconnected in Windows event logs when playing e.g. Battlefield 5. After days of trying to figure out what's going on, re-crimping cat5 ethernet cables, testing other cables, trial & error, and heaps of troubleshooting I got the I225 NIC to play will with Netgear GS108Tv2 switch.
These type of bugs, whether it is Asus, Intel I225-V v2, or Win10 driver fault are making me very uncomfortable and are very worried. How such thing ever passed quality testing? The ROG Strix B550-I has already gave lots of other headaches with primary NVMe 4.0 disk disappearing upon wakeup from sleep causing Win10 to hard crash, not to mention the hell I went with getting Realtek and Sonic Studio III and Armoury Crate working.
OP I would encourage you to contact Asus to make them aware of the problem.

The problem is back and I cannot find a solution... it must be the I225-V Controller:

...Asus is using the same version (and revision) of the I225-V on B550-F/E/I !!!
@fatalhalt : thank you for your response! Finally iam not alone! As you can see its not just a combination with that kind of switch, its a generell issue with I225-V.Last edited by 6kbyte; 11-22-2020 at 07:32 AM.

Just for your information: every day more and more users reporting this problem in multiple forums. there also is a support-thread in the intel community - https://community.intel.com/t5/Ether...te/m-p/1230540
Maybe we need a statement from asus too. What will they do with this bugy kind of intel I225-V chip? Sometimes it feels like thats not only the driver which is to blame - it could be mainboard-voltages or temperature sensitivity of the intel-chip.Last edited by 6kbyte; 11-25-2020 at 05:35 AM.
