Will resizable bar (smart access memory alternative) be enabled on X299

Got depending on the game title arround 10% fps difference between rebar on and off i think that is a big benefit. On some games the benefit between 3080 to 3090 is similar to the 3090 re-bar on vs off. So i think thats something only comsmetical and unimportant.

This is all nice but i dont know how it is with other X299 Asus Boards but on my Apex Board i got a big Performance Hit with every bios after 3006

This New rebar bios is not different...... 3dmark timespy a dx12 benchmark : bios 3006 17850 points compare to 3404 rBar bios 16100
And in other benchmark you Lose 5-10 fps and no one can tell me Why.... Every bios setting is the same beside rebar

No one can tell me Why and iam not the only one.... I have allready contacted Support but nothing

My point as long i got a Performance Hit by updating the bios for the rBar featur is not doing anything for me

I've noticed the same trend on my R6EE with a 10980XE. with every new uCode the systems get slower and slower and Intel also disable stuff, e.g. TSX. Typically, the latency increase (AIDA) with every new uCode as well. I think the fastest is uCode is: 68 with BIOS 2002 but I have not done a side by side comparison like you have with timespy. would be interesting to try all uCodes and run the same benchmark suite to see how they perform. Problem is to be exhaustive, you need to run every BIOS and uCode combinations and that's quite a few...

I tested and i don't see any grounds of 3404 being any slower then 2002, my Timespy is a bit higher with 3404 and all games tested i don't see any difference's except extra performance with 3404 and rBar enabled in whitelisted games.

Well ... I have waited since the 25th of last month for the new bios 1003 ... I understand that the updates are staggered, but no motherboard has been updated so far ... at least not for the latest x299 series

If you want to test things now just use 0070 for the encore board posted by Shamino in this thread on page 2, post #13. Rebar working fine for me with this bios. But I agree, don’t know what’s taking so long to post 1003. ???

You cannot tell or messure the difference between Re-Bar / SmartMemoryAccess on or off with those benchmarks because as far as i know neither of those support and use this features. So you cannot tell any difference. You need a benchmark or game wich actually use the Re-Bar/SmartAccess function.

i tested it, but for me 0070 in OC is alot inferior then 0901, lets that 1003 is based on 0901

what is not normal is this delay........ alot of ppl are just waiting for a new bios for rebar and asus suport tells that it will be available soon......

the reality is that in this case the top of the line product gets rammed, i also have the same problem with my asus GTAX11000 top of the line product gets killed in support by asus

lets hope the delay ends soon

I know All that, i compare bios 3006 vs 3404 and the point iam trying to make..... There is no point for rBar if you los fps from one bios to another in the First place and than you get only in some games who use rBar the fps back
