PG35VQ Seems Dim After Waking from Sleep

When I wake up my computer from sleep with my PG35VQ attached, many times it seems as if some applications (FireFox for one) are darker than they should be. For example visiting a white website appears a shade of gray. Some apps like Discord and Windows itself work fine though.

The only solution I've found is to start a game, which, once it launches in full screen mode, looks fine. Upon quitting the game the dimness is gone and other apps appear normally.

This is my first monitor with HDR, and for some reason I get the feeling that it may be playing a factor here.

Is this known behavior and is there anything I can do to solve it?

    Hello Brack,
If you turn off the HDR, does the same issue happen?
Also, what kind of computer are you using? a desktop or a laptop? what's the model of it?
    Thank you.

Thanks for the help. When the issue is present, toggling HDR off then back on in Windows settings fixes the issue as well. I will leave HDR off and see if the issue presents itself after next sleep, but I'm guessing it will not.

I can confirm the issue is not present with HDR turned off.
