Motherboard Drivers

Hello,

I have the Asus Rog Rampage VI Extreme Omega motherboard.
I recently reinstalled Windows 10 (20H2) with an internet connection present. After the installation and running Windows update, I had some issues in my device manager. I installed the Intel chipset driver, version 10.1.8295.8201 from the Asus website and that cleared up everything in the device manager. Is it recommended or optional to also install the Intel Management Engine Interface driver, version 1952.14.0.1470? As of now, without the Intel (MEI) driver, there are no issues in my device manager.

Thanks,

Hi,

You need these firmware/drivers for your ASUS ROG Rampage VI Extreme Omega motherboard :

[FIRMWARE] Intel ME (X299)

[DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA (1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx)

- Intel Chipset Drivers (Drivers Only Package)

Package - X299

- Intel MEI Drivers with SoftwareComponent Drivers (Drivers Only)

- Intel SATA AHCI-RAID Drivers (Drivers Only) :

[DRIVERS] Intel Ethernet/WiFi/Bluetooth

- Intel Ethernet Drivers (Drivers Only)

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3 MB) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

I always look for drivers on the producers site. And I always to have all the necessary drivers downloaded. But it is great when you can ask and get some help

Hi,

You need these drivers for your ASUS ROG Rampage IV Black Edition motherboard :

[DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA (6x/7x/8x/9x)

- Intel Chipset Drivers (Drivers Only Package)

- Intel MEI Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 6x/7x

- Intel SATA AHCI-RAID Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 6x/7x

[DRIVERS] ASMedia SATA

[DRIVERS] Intel Ethernet/WiFi/Bluetooth

- Intel Ethernet Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 82579V (1.0GbE)

[DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (MB | Intel 6x/7x/8x/9x/1xx)

You have an ASUS ROG SS1 motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (HDA - ASUS ROG SSx MB) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Note : You also need Broadcom WiFi & Bluetooth drivers, which I do not offer, let Windows Update download/install the appropriate drivers.

Thank you. I also have a USB chipset from ASMEDIA. I am a little confused where to get these drivers but this search gives me a bunch of choices:

https://www.driveridentifier.com/scan/download.php/download/96360587/DF343E5338904FB68B56A6D4520AA3A...

The blue download button from that link just downloads 'driver installer' which looks suspicious.

This link seems more trustworthy

https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=asmedia

but the files have old dates.

Then of course there is the official ASUS website

https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-rampage/rog-rampage-iv-extreme-battlefield-3-model/HelpDesk_Do...

Which would you recommend?

Also, I remember reading somewhere about the CLEANUP process instructions you provided but I cannot seem to find them linked in your sig. Is there a place I can find them?
Thanks again. I wish I could offer more tangible appreciation for your work.

For USB drivers, since Windows 10, they are built-in drivers, if other drivers are necessary, they will be auto downloaded via Windows Update.

If you are talking about the CLEANUP process for Realtek Audio Drivers, it is in the corresponding thread, if you are looking for a CLEANUP process for the other drivers, there is none because it is not really necessary except in specific cases.
