GPU upgrade - PSU Query
Hi Guys, have not posted in a while but thought I would throw this out there
So just received notification that my TUF Gaming OC 3090 will ariive tomorrow which I am excited about, I initially did a few calculations based on my build but was hoping for a little advice.
I currently have an EVGA Supernova 850 P2 Platinum which has never skipped a beat, my machine is currently:
EVGA Supernova 850 P2 Platinum
Intel I9 10900k @5ghz all cores
Asus Maximus Hero XII
Asus Strix 1080Ti
64Gb Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB
2x Samsung Evo SSD
1x Samsung Evo m.2 nvme
Custom loop powered by EKWB D5-Revo pump/res combi
After swapping out the 1080ti for the TUF 3090 my rough calculations gave me around a 766w requirement, I wont be running any overclocks on the GPU (if I do they will be minimal) but was hoping one of you guys could sanity check my estimate or let me know if you think this PSU will do the job, even if juut for the short term until higher cap PSU's start to get into distribution again.
As always any advice is appreciated.
Cheers

In case anyone else has a similar query I haven't had any issues at all so far, Benchmarks and stress tests all good. Then Running a few games while encoding video using CPU to see if I hit any limits but so far so good also.
I think I am going to swap out the 850 and go back to a 1000 or maybe 1200 just for headroom thoughI9 10900k @ 5.2Ghz - ASUS Maximus XII Hero - Corsair Vengeance PRO @ 3200 4x16gb

Hi Stylee
I agree with more headroom, this = cooler and quieter.
