Have you found a way to just install the Realtek driver and control panel? My motherboard has (actually giving Asus praise) a really awesome feature that is USB type-C audio instead of optical and it's great, and I believe supported by the standard Realtek drivers. As far as I'm aware, A-Volute and Nahimic are only responsible for Sonic Studio, sound enhancements, and other stuff I'm not interested in.
