Clean Install of WIndows, What drivers to install for Maximus X Code?
Just did a clean install of Windows. Is there any drivers that are worth manually installing after a clean install of Windows 10?
So far I've installed:
Intel LAN Drivers - from Intel's website.
Samsung NVME - from Samsung's website
Other:
Wireless Drivers pre-installed are newer then Asus's website (2024 vs 2023).
Chipset Driver - Unsure about this, device manager shows 7/18/1968 - Driver 10.1.11.4 but Asus website shows 10.1.18295.8201
VGA - Not to concerned as I don't use the built in card
Bluetooth Drivers - Same version installed as on ASUS's website
Intel Rapid Storage Driver - don't think I need this since I'm doing ACHI
Audio Driver - Unsure, windows install 6.0.8821.1 but ASUS's website list 6.0.1.8746

Hi Howie411
All I do after a windows 10 install is update the graphics driver (which for me is Nvidia) and install the audio driver.
Anything else is pretty much optional.
Install the latest audio driver from the ASUS Support Center.

- ASUS WiFi driver (I have no idea of the WIFI hardware manufacturer is being used on this board)
- Asus Bluetooth driver
- Intel LAN
- Intel MEI
- Intel Chipset
- NVMe drivers (unless you have the Samsung 980 pro then no need for drivers)
- Realtek Audio drivers (if you have a PCIe sound card then drivers for that card)
- GPU drivers
- Armoury Crate or Aura software
- Intel graphics drivers if you use it
