Low GPU utilization
Hi Guys. I have ROG STRIX 3080 OC and in many games I can't move past 60%-80% GPU utilization with FPS at around 120. I play not very CPU demanding games like Wolcen or Serious Sam with CPU utilization at 25%-40%. Did anyone find a similar problem? Is there any fix?

Hi charliep17
Check in the Nvidia control panel Vertical Sync is set to "Use the 3d Application Setting", then in the game settings check that Vertical Sync is set to off. This should put gpu utilization at 99%-100%.
If your monitor is 120Hz, you may want to let V-Sync enabled to avoid screen tearing or use G-Sync if your monitor supports it.

Hi. I have always used v sync on with RTSS limit at 141 FPS. Never had any issues with RTX 2080, always I achieved either 141 FPS or 99% GPU utilization. On RTX 3080 turning V sync off doesn't have any impact because I am already limited before I even reach the refresh rate of my monitor at 144 Hz. But this limit appears to be at around 60-80% GPU utilization for some strange reason.
