Both boards have a dedicated Bios update port on the back panel along with a detailed instruction section in the manual with a pretty picture of the ports.
I do agree thought it is the user's perogative to ignore them and whine.

a. My back ports are not easily accessed because of a lack of space and where my rigs are.
b. The functionality for other methods ought to all work properly under any and all circumstances, let alone these ones. It does not. Asus boards are by no means cheap. Sony usually gets it right. Why should Asus be so slack.
c. No, the instructions are not good. They are poor and only a video by a reviewer made clear to me what to do. If you are going to say I lack intelligence or some other insult save it. And even then, the process does not or has not worked properly for this or that method--pretty much across the board.
d. Asus instructions and software need improvement, and lots. They could be 1000 times better, especially for new builders/users. A lot is intuitive, but even so, the instructions lack and could really really be improved. That is Asus' business, but they would probably improve their sales and brand if they stopped slacking off in so many ways.
e. Call it whining or whatever pessimistic label you like. I view it as constructive criticism. If Asus had things right you wouldn't see a zillion posts on this forum, and on a daily basis, for example.
Have a nice day.Last edited by Super Gnome; 01-28-2021 at 12:26 AM.
