    Cool G703GI upgrade

    Hey everyone

I've seen info about this but didn't see specific details for this model (maybe the family has a similar situation?)

Is there a way to upgrade the video card on this? The specs on this laptop are still outstanding... But now the video card holds back its potential.

I could use an egpu... But I'd rather keep it inside.

    ASUS ROG G703GI Intel i9 8950HK/64Gb/2Tb + PCIE NVME 512G M.2 SSD
    *2/No ODD/17.3" FHD IPS Anti-Glare/NV GTX1080 8Gb
    GDDR5

    Thanks!

Nope. GPU soldered to MoBo. Asus uses soldered GPU and CPU from G750 if i remember correctly. Almost all laptop manufacturers use soldered chips on to mobo now, cost and space reduction. Maybe big machines from Alienware still use MXM cards, but who knows maybe they soldered to.
