    Question about Optical S/PDIF.

    Question about Optical S/PDIF.

This may sound silly, but I haven't found any information about it anywhere.
When the computer is turned on, the optical S/PDIF have red light. Is it ok for this out port?

An OUT port, yes or it has been for any motherboard I have ever used in the last twenty years. Never seen an IN port on the motherboard itself but they might exist.

Yes, this is normal as the Optical Output Port sends out an infra-red signal. If your TV has an Optical Port (called more commonly "Toslink") you will see the same thing if you carefully flip open the protective door.
