Hello,

Curve Optimiser is a feature specifically catered for Zen 3 architecture and does not support previous generations of the CPU.

I have a Ryzen 5600x and BIOS 1804 from February 2021 for this board (B550-\r) and there is no curve optimizer function (I even searched for "curve" on the BIOS). Considering that it appears the B550-E has it, why is it not on the B550-F?

Edit: turns out I misremembered and my board is 550-E, but the 550-F should also have the curve; see a few posts below.

Just to clarify the above: my mobo is the 550-F with wi-fi and bluetooth, since there appears to exist another 550-F, without those features, that does have the curve optimizer according to a Reddit thread I found. What a mess!

For one, upgrade to the latest 2201 bios, it's better. For the second, I'm not sure the search function will find it as it is hidden under the AMD menus, under Precision Boost Overdrive, I suppose the search function only searches for Asus-specific features in example when doing a text dump of the bios Curve Optimizer is not present as well. But it IS there, if you navigate right in the bios.
R9 7950X - ASUS X670E Crosshair Extreme (bios 0803) - 32GB HyperX Fury Beast @6200c32 - Corsair H150i Pro - ASUS RTX3080 TUF OC V2 - Phanteks P400A - Corsair RM850 - WD SN850

OH. MY. GOD. The option truly was only available in a DIFFERENT menu that also allows you to enable PBO. The fact that the same board setting can be toggled in two different menus but with different resulting options in each makes zero sense, and clearly shows that BIOS designers are not user experience designers. The curve not showing up in Search just because PBO was disabled is ridiculous as well.

Thanks for your help!

To aid future people consulting this thread, here is the menu I was looking at this whole time:

88446

And here is where you actually have to go. You also need to set the PBO to "Advanced" for the curve option to show up:

Curve Optimizer on works on X570 boards. We have the curve optimizer option in our bios, but it doesn't really work properly. AMD website states that it is only for X570.

CO works on B550 and X570 on all AMD 5000 series except for 5800X3D
