Which M.2 ssd

I have a Z170-P D3 which currently has a 256GB 2.5" ssd and want to upgrade to a 2TB m.2 2280. I know that it has Pcie 3.0 and the book says I have 1 x M.2 Socket 3 with M Key for both sata and pcie mode.
Most of the drives I see listed are pcie 3.0 X 4. Is that what I am looking for? Any suggestions or help would be most appreciated.

Samsung Is The Best And Most Expensive

Thanks for the reply. My motherboard has ddr3 and most of the m.2 cards i am looking at say that they have "Built-in 2GB DDR4 DRAM and SLC caching accelerate burst performance and prevent slowdown during intensive workloads." Is this compatible? below is the link to one i am considering. Trying not to buy any more components that do not work with my system.
