Hi,

Intel MEI Driver Version : 2047.100.0.1039 (Available as Drivers Only for more than 3 weeks here : https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?117609-DRIVERS-Intel-Chipset-MEI-SATA-(1xx-2xx-3xx-4xx-5xx...)
Intel MEI Package Version : 2101.15.0.2080

Yes, that's the confusion. The package version is the 2101.15.... but the driver itself is 2047. Thanks.

Hi,

Please do not mix the types/sources of drivers you use (avoid garbage-drivers, they have no expertise on what they offer) :

- 2101.15.0.2083 Drivers & Software Package contains ony Intel MEI Driver (since the imposed SWC drivers (DAL, ICLS & WMI) are not installed, Windows Update will install them for you with older versions because the install order of these SWC drivers is initied/imposed by Intel MEI drivers itself).

- 2101.15.0.2080 Drivers & Software Package contains Intel MEI Driver and all the imposed SWC drivers (DAL, ICLS & WMI) but also 2 SWC drivers & 1 Ext drivers optional and unnecessary for most consumer users (SOL & WIMAN Ext+SWC).

- 2047.100.0.1039 Drivers Package (Drivers Only) that I offer contains Intel MEI Driver and only the imposed SWC drivers.

So I advise you either the package from ASUS, or those that I propose but if you decide to switch to the packages that I offer, I advise you to do this :

- Uninstall Intel Management Engine Components from your apps installed (Start > Settings > Apps) then restart your PC
- Launch Driver Store Explorer > Check the boxes of all versions of these drivers .inf (if you find them) : heci.inf | dal.inf | dal_wc.inf | iclsclient.inf | lms.inf | mesrl.inf | mewmiprov.inf | wiman.inf | wiman_wlan_extension.inf
- Check the box "Force Deletion" then click on the "Delete Driver" button then restart your PC
- Download the Intel MEI drivers package from the first post of this thread : [DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA/VMD (1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx)
- Follow the Install/Update Process

- if you are already using the Intel MEI drivers package from my thread : You can update directly by following the Install/Update Process.

You have correctly underlined in red what you need.

Note : Once your Intel MEI drivers are up to date, you can update your Intel ME firmware : [FIRMWARE] Intel ME (X299).

Regarding the Intel Chipset drivers package, what there is to know about your motherboard based on X299 chipset is that you must not update beyond 10.1.18295.8201 (hence the dedicated download line), otherwise you will miss/lose the Skylake-ESystem.inf driver which you needed for your stuff.

i have done what you told me, going to install the stuff from your link,

do i need to install any new intel manegemente engine components ?

But my chipset driver is above what you are saying so can i unistall ? and then install the one from your link ? do i need to delete any thing first ?

thanks alot

No.

Just uninstall the above one (Intel Chipset Device Software in your installed apps), restart, then install the right one.

You're welcome 😉

Note : You can check the vulnerability of your system before and after Intel ME firmware update with this Intel tool :

CSME Version Detection Tool v4.1.0.0 (Choose the Windows download link) : https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28632.

i dunno if this is correct but in the asus software it says:

87759

i installed from your link, via CMD as admin and it restarted is it suposed to show 1.0.0.1 in the asus software ? as before it showed my version..

just one last doubt:) if i want to uninstall this mei how to, or can i just install the Asus MEI over this.

best regards
