    Event Viewer error code:

    - I performed a CLEAN Windows 10 install on my M.2 SSD and CLEAN Windows 10 install on a regular SSD and problem persist.
    - I RMA my EVGA 2080 Super videocard and got it back, Problem continues.
    - I Bought a NEW 800 Watts Power supply and problem continues
    - Updated the BIOS Now twice Problem continues
    - The last thing I did try was a new new videocard that wasn't giving me any problems but I did notice i would get GPU lag as if it was being underpowered sometimes. I'm guessing it could be a problem now between the Motherboard or the Videocard
    - I also did revert back to normal Auto memory profile in the bios but problem continues

    ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (WI-FI) BIOS 3204

    EVGA 750 G5 PSU
    32.0 GB Gskill Trident Z neo
    Windows 10 Pro 20H2

    I've also downloaded EVGA Precision boost and hit BOOST LOCK to play COD as it crashes less. It could be a faulty GPU as when I launch EVGA precision x1 screen goes off and on but no crash. So now all I can do is wait for new BIOS to come out for this motherboard or test another videocard.
    have you tryd the adv_options settings in
    Documents\Call of Duty Modern Warfare\players
    edit with note pad with this values

    // generated by Infinity Ward
    version = 1
    VideoMemoryScale = 0.50
    RendererWorkerCount = 8
    ConfigCloudStorageEnabled = 1

    set mem to .50 first and worker count to half of your cpu cores
    save it and make it read only
    and test

    then slowly change the videomem scale to .60 .70 .80
    it doesnt matter if you lower it, thiers a bug in the game thats making the game crash a lot due to that memscale setting

    I'm inclined to believe that most of these issues would go away if people would just buy a better PSU...and not the 100 to 150 dollar special.

    Hi Thomas, I have done this and now waiting to see the results. As the crashes are relatively infrequent it may be awhile before the next crash, if there is one!

    Hi, thanks for your contribution. I've already replaced the Strix PSU with a Corsair HX850, which exceeds the power requirements of an RTX3080, and seems to be very well reviewed. Should I have bought a bigger PSU?

    You may want to try to reseat the gpu card. Remove it from the slot and place it back.
    Also, be sure to use 3 different power cables for the 3 power plugs on the card. Do not use the same rail/cable for two or more power plugs on the card.

    I recently had some issues with games crashing. I was going to flash my Asus Tuf 3080 back to V2 from V4 but I decided to DDU my Nvidia drivers instead that resolved all the crashing. I spent 4 hours last night testing not a single hiccup while gaming. Try that if your jumping from a 3080 to a 3090 could be a driver issue for sure.

    Hi, I'm afraid I'm still getting these crashes infrequently. The last set happened when the computer was idling, and no windows up on the screen, so little to no GPU load.

    The crashes occur more frequently when playing a demanding game.

    I would really appreciate some support from Asus about this problem, this now occurs on a daily basis even when in normal (i.e. non gaming) use.
