Any Issues with a New Card (ASUS GTX570 DirectCU II ) on an Old System?

If I'm running a nVidia nForce 680i SLI mainboard now, would there be any issues running a new ASUS GTX570 card on it for a while? It has PCI Express x16 card slots, although they are not 2.0, can fit a triple-wide graphics card and supports 4GB/sec bandwidth.

Or should I keep it aside until I am ready to pick up a Gene-Z/GEN3 mainboard as well?

Should be fine. PCIe is completely backward compatible.
