A. Page 48 of manual states:

To manage your network clients:

1. From the navigation panel, go to Advanced Settings Network Map tab. Check

2. On the Network Map screen, select the Clients icon to display your network client’s information. Check

3. Click View List below the Clients icon to display all the clients. Check

4. To block a client’s access to your network, select the client and click the open lock icon.

Open Lock Icon ? Don't see a "open lock icon on screen ...

Don't see an "open lock" icon on the pic in the manual....

See a globe icon and mousing over gives ya a "Allow Access" Icon but clicking on it does nothing

B. Utility Dashboard says Signature version 2.184 Updated : 2020/06/30 02:0

Checking gives the following message: The router cannot connect to ASUS server to check for the firmware update. After reconnecting to the Internet, go back to this page and click Check to check for the latest firmware updates.

Well I'm typing here, so why is it that it thinks I'm not connected to internet ?

So as you're right and the manual is mistaken, you can do this in about the same manor on the same page. Please review the screenshots.

First Click on the image that is circled in the screenshot.
89653

Next Click on the host/client that shows up in the "Client Status" window to the right. Don't use the mac address to select as it will only show small info.
89651

Finally Click on block internet access on the device you want.

I redacted my personal information so yours will look different.

Keep in mind that the manual is almost 2 years old and the latest firmware was this past May. They changed and moved around a few things since then.
