Can't update Asus Live Updated due to battery

I can't update using the updater. I now have listed a critical update ASUS Device Activation. When i try it tells me that the battery has to be fully charged.
I'm plugged in but the battery no longer has a charge, I'd have to buy a new one it looks like to install the updates.
Is there a manual way to do the updates?

GL752VW Laptop.
Battery is permanently 0% (will die when plug is pulled)

Go to device manager and disable the battery, don't need to uninstall, just disable it. Run the live update again, and it will work. After you finish enable everything again.
