Which M.2 sockets to use on RVIE Encore?

Hi all. I just got my brand new Rampage VI Extreme Encore. It comes with 4 X M.2 slots, 2 on the MB and 2 on the DIMM.2 riser card. I have 2 X Samsung 980 pro PCIe 4.0 Disks which I'm planning on using unraided. However, I might change my mind on that.

So the 2 questions are... Which 2 slots should I use for these? Also, if I wanted to use RAID 1, is it possible to do that via PCH, without using a VROC dongle?
