ASUS AURA Addressable Gen 2 Header on ASUS ROG Strix B550-I

Is there a way to verify this header is functional on my mother board. It doesn't work with Armoury Crate. But from what I've read that software could be the problem. How do I test the hardware?

Did you make sure addressable header is sync in Armoury Crate(AC).
Ensure you go to the AC -> Devices -> ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING -> Addressable RGB -> set to Gen 1 or Gen 2 and adjust #LED.
Than go to Aura effects and set the effects to see if the strip works or not.
    If not show up,
    Sincerely,
    TY

    Thx

Had to set to Gen 1 and put in # of leds. Works for a couple hours then my windows hangs, but that's progress I guess. What are gen 2 argb devices? I'm a newb and google acts like that's not a thing.

It might be bad ARGB cable causing the hang. DId you try another ARGB cable?
    Sincerely,
    TY
