Addressable Headers are Gen 1 and Gen 2?

From everything I read I always see ARGB referred to as GEN 2 Header and RGB as GEN 1 Header.

But in Armoury Create

Device -> ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING
Addressable Headers Tab

Header 1
Has Gen 1 or Gen 2.

There is another Tab elsehwere for RGB Headers.

Does this mean that ARGB (Gen 2 Header) has both GEN 1 and GEN 2 Devices?

The answer is yes. Apparently my Halo fans are argb gen 1.

I'm a newb at this. How do I determine if my argb fan is Gen1 device or Gen2 device? Is there any documentation anywhere on argb Gen 2 devices?

Yeah that is probably something that People working at Asus might want to explain

From what I got out of Armory Crate:
the maximum number of Gen 2 ARGB devices that can be connected to a single header by use of a splitter is 4
And Gen 2 ARGB seems to detect the number of LED's that is in the Device
You can set this manual for the Gen 1 ARGB Devices and by default this is set to 120

And that's all I know about it

So if there is anybody who has more info on the differance between ARGB Gen 1 and Gen 2 Feel free to Let us Know

I own some recently bought some gen 2 ARGB Halo fans. gen 1 and gen 2 are both ARGB. the difference is I can individually assign an effect to each led in each fan (I'm using aura creator)... much more control 🙂

Aura creator doesn't even recognize I have argb fans, it just thinks I have two light strips and the second one doesn't even do anything
