ROG Maximus XIII EXTREME Mixing NVMe M2 Gen3 and Gen4 SSD

ROG Maximus XIII EXTREME has multiple NVMe M2 SSD slots PCI-e 4.0 capable.
I have an Intel 11900K 11th gen CPU, so all the M2 slots are active in PCI-e 4.0 mode.
I will use three slots where I will put 2 SSD NVMe M2 which are of the 4.0 type and one SSD NVMe M2 of the 3.0 type.
Will the slots adapt to each SSD type or they will all revert to the slowest mode that is 3.0
Can I mix types or if I want to use 4.0 then all NVMe SSD must be 4.0 type.
Thank you for your help.

You can set this in the Bios
on the advanced tab (Believe System Agent > PCI-e configuration ... just by head)
You can set each of the 3 M.2 Slot to PCI-e Gen 1/2/3/4 or Auto
You could off-course always use the Dimm.2 slot since the 2 drives on those will go to Gen 3 as highest supported PCI-e Generation

Edit
You also want to go into onboard devices to change PCI-e x16_1 + PCI-e x16_2 to PCI-e x16_1 + M.2_1 + M.2_2
