I wrote to them. They replied that no one is complaining. More user complaints are needed to fix this. Don't be lazy and write complaints!

How many times has it been posted on here DO NOT update your ME if you don't want your system feeling like a 10yr old system after Asus and Intel have patched the **** out of their boards and CPU's? Myself included after the last update I did ages ago slowed my system down and SSD performance also.
It's quite simple the more you flash and update the ME firmware it's going to slow your system down even further, When people realise these are security updates then you will understand security and performance do not go hand in hand.

With every MEI update and BIOS the performance does take a hit. If thats all thats in the BIOS Id roll back. Im running a newer BIOS modded with older microcodes specifically because of that. I can manage to crank it up and regain the performance but that comes at the cost of more heat.

Latest BIOS and Intel ME Sucks! It feels like an SSD has turned into an HDD. I wonder if Asus tested its firmware?

Hmm, Z390-F here. Can someone please clarify
1. before and after (1901) scores. What help are just the current scores?
2. Did the 1901 BIOS update ME firmware to some bad version? Why not just flash an other version from the forums here?
Not to play it down, myself I'm still having some issues and am not really convinced of 1901, but that's more related to overclocking, especially memory.
Anyhow, I suppose anyone has the possibility to downgrade to his/her preferred BIOS version. Why is it such a big deal that 1901 potentially sucks?
Edit: To make it more clear, I cannot confirm "performance" issues. My issue is more about stability when overclocking... And honestly, I don't think ME firmware in itself can have any impact on performance at all. CPU Microcode sure, but ME firmware nah. Feel free to prove otherwise.Last edited by vvoid; 06-16-2021 at 08:25 PM.
