rebar disabled

Running an Asus R6E Encore X299 on a test bench with the latest 1004 bios that supports rebar. Just installed an Asus 3080 strix OC. Looks like the latest bios shipped with this video card (see pic). Running latest Nvidia driver. Can't figure out why rebar is not enabled. ?? Ideas?? Thanks.

Hi Hopper,

What's the status say in the top right in UEFI? Should be able to toggle it there.

It says ON in the bios. Can’t figure this one out at all. ???

Not that it should make much difference, but are you using a PCIE riser or is the card connected directly?

Check in the UEFI that 4G decoding is enabled. Although the toggle on the landing page should already do this for you.

It's connected directly.

I might disable rebar in the bios, reboot into windows, reboot again and reenable rebar in the bios and see if that does it. I don't know otherwise.

Yea. Still no change. Have no idea why rebar is not working. OS updated, MB Bios updated and rebar was working with another graphics card, Vbios appears to be the latest. ????

Just tried V5 of the bios update just to see if it would work. Didn't work yesterday. Well, it updated something because rebar is enabled now. I had updated the OS to 21h1 today and right clicked on the exe, run as administrator. Bios version is no different.

Who knows, it's possible something was stuck at driver level or was tripping GPUZ into think it wasn't enabled. Glad you got it working!

Thanks. GPU-Z was likely correct since it was disabled in the Nvidia CP too.
