Both of mine have TPM headers. Why?
the tpm headers are for typically for business/enterprise customers to have more control over their users. if the module is removed the storage would not be able to be decrypted.

Well there is not need to enable this option for W11:
    - Secure Boot : Boot tab > CSM > Secure Boot : Windows UEFI Mode

New buid with latest BIOs on Strix X570-F Gaming and 5950 AMD processor and Microsoft checker said NO! After enabling TPM firmware in BIOS my build passed the specs for install of Windows 11. I may regret this move yet further down the line!

I just enabled PPT in the BIOS (original Rampage VI Extreme / 7940X) and now the PC Health app passes the check.......we'll see I guess...

My Ryzen 7-1700 also shows as not supported even though it's TPM 2.0 also. From what I've read CPU generation will be what MS is calling a 'soft floor', meaning when you install it will say it's not recommended but install anyway.

This is NOT true of TPM though! That's supposedly going to be a 'hard floor' (although TPM 1.2 will be allowed). I think MS is getting serious about security with Win11, using TPM to store user credentials and attestation data beyond just storing BitLocker encryption keys.

My Z490-I running the latest bios (and tested with bios 2005) will not keep PTT enabled. I enable, confirm and save, and restart. Still shows disabled.

    I have.
Launch CSM is Disabled, Secure Boot is Windows UEFI Mode, and PTT is marked as Enabled. I save and exit confirming PTT enabled but it does not stick. PTT stays disabled.

Intel ME is running the latest driver as well. Not sure what the deal is but I know I'm not the only one as someone PM'd me with the same issue.

Try a clear CMOS, if it still does not work, I see in your old post that you are using an i7-9700K on Z490 chipset instead of an officially supported CPU (https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/ro...l/helpdesk_cpu), maybe it is a degraded CPU compatibility and that this degraded CPU compatibility does not allow the enabling of Intel PTT/Firmware TPM.

Anyway, if the issue persists, open a ticket with ASUS Support.
Thanks for your help. I cleared CMOS and still not fixed. I'm running a 10700k with this Z490-I.

I found someone else with the same problem with this board in the ASUS subreddit. I will open a ticket with support.
