Hello,

Recently some Windows update secretly updated my BIOS to version 309. I've been avoiding that for a good while so I can use Throttlestop to undervolt and play with the turbo limits in order to achieve lower working temperatures. The BIOS update has locked these features away and now the computer is running hotter, fans blowing, even when idle which I don't like.

I tried going back on the versions but the only one I have official access to is the previous one (308) which kind of does it but not exactly like it was before. My understanding is that 307 would get it back to the state I want but unfortunately I can't get that version from the official drivers download page.

TL;DR: I need the 307 BIOS file for GL704GW so I can flash it back.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This is the 308 bios for gl704gw. I pulled it out of windows update catalog a year ago. I'm using it on a GL704GV (somehow still works lol) for undervolting, and can confirm it works.

You guys are in luck, I don't have version 307 but I have 308 which enables undervolting. Spent countless hours scouring the internet looking for an older version, only to find it on one of my usb's. Any trace of its existence has basically been wiped off the web by Asus, so make sure to back it up.
