and no games crash or so it runs all 100%

i have one question, was u ever with ur new mb in armoury crate or never?

Or there could be a connection that you changed the rgb and it started with the problems days later.

i think that info can help
I had this ****ty program installed and just started it ;-)
But no idea if I started it after replacing the board.

I don't think it's because of the app. But who knows. 1.07 GB for such a ****ty tool. Wow! Just uninstalled it.

I just started to puke after I updated the BIOS and checked the fan profile with Fan Xpert: All my profiles got deleted (they are stored on the drive C:\ProgramData\ASUS\Dip\FanXpert\Profiles) because "new hardware" LOL. Instead of moving the profiles to the trash... holy ****, happy to had a backup. As we all know, ALL mainboard apps suck, but some suck more.

They should keep an eye on functionality instead of the UI. You open these apps for a few minutes for a few times and not every day.

I have now tested the settings of NuadaXXX. (RGB)
Without success. After two shutdowns the error already occurred.

I'll send the board back to ASUS on Monday for an RMA.

That's all strange, ERP on helps some, Aura OFF others, neither did anything for me, but the RGB reset worked and I had now for 3 weeks no problems.

i have not changed one setting i have testet some times and restarts and then it was away no idea why test more.

i have sure do 5 cmos reset. and i have push 3-5 times 10 sec the cmos button for one try. that im 100% sure it is deleted.. maybe it was this.. or both.. no idea Don't give up so easily )

and say if RMA helps u

yes, i hate also that app, it's garbage.

That's why I don't want to install it now to see what's set :-)

now all is working smooth, and never change a running system :-)

    Crosshair Dark Hero

I am also the owner of a Crosshair Dark Hero mainboard and have the same problems that are dealt with in this topic.
My PC doesn't always start when I press the start button on the case or on the mainboard, it only helps to completely disconnect the PC from the power. Then I can start the PC normally again.

    My system:

    CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x
Mainboard: Crosshair Dark Hero / BIOS 3801
    RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32GB 3800 CL 14
System hard drive: WD Black SN850
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT reference design
PSU: Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 12 1200w

The problem can be avoided if I change the setting for ERP to S5 in the BIOS. But then every now and then I have the problem that my PC doesn't boot properly.
Usually the yellow (DRAM) or the white (VGA) Q-LED lights up.

To troubleshoot, I swapped all components for others, except for the mainboard and the CPU.

Could we perhaps gather how many of us with the issue have G.Skill ram?

I'm also on G.Skill Trident Z Neo but 3600 CL16 ver. Should all use similar design/RGB controller though? Only difference being memory IC configurations.

The components I used to troubleshoot were:

    RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3200 DIMM CL14 (also G.Skill RAM)
System hard drive: 250GB Samsung 960 Evo M.2
    GPU: GTX 1080ti
PSU: be quiet! Dark Power Pro 11

Perhaps you behaved differently in the BIOS than on the first motherboard and did not triggered the bug

i have today 25 times the pc new startet

    OFF
    ON
    OFF
    ON

and i got not one error

there was a time when the error occurred after every start

and after RGB reset it works normal.

sorry i can't leave your comment stay like that, i don't believe in a hardware error not 3 times in a row
Component can be defective at first start or 3 months later. It's random...

The only difference between first and second setup : I've installed bios 3801 right after building the pc and before installing windows

About RGB light, it's always set to off when computer down in bios for me

So that makes at least 3 of us already with Trident Z Neo RGB memory.

Anyone else with the problem please post your RAM model/brand.

Who knows it could be narrowed down to some incompatibility with RAM's RGB controller and motherboard RGB controller? (Just some wild guessing here...)

Since so far it seems to be affected by AURA setting in bios, and at least 3 of us have near identical RGB memory kits, so there could be a connection?

I have 4 x G.Skill 16 GB DDR4-3200 'Ripjaw' DIMMS (16-18-18-38) in my system -- but they have no RGB whatsoever. Same problem.

In fact, other than the motherboard itself, I have no lights in the case generally.
