Same issues on my Strix B550 Gaming XE

I've built two systems (one for myself, and one for my best friend) using two Strix B550 Gaming XE mainboards.
Both of them have these issues, before i've used two ASRock B550 Taichi Mainboards with the same components without any problems. Pretty disappointed by ASUS at this point.

Kinda crazy how many Asus boards are affected by this issue, wtf is Asus doing?

Btw, any progress on getting this topic talked about by the wider Tech media Like GamersNexus ?

My dark hero board has this exact issue which will lock up require power cycling the PSU to restart my PC. I paid for shipping and sent in my board to Asus for repair about 2 weeks ago and just got it back this afternoon. The repair detail shows - "Can not duplicate customer's reported issue, however Bios/Firmware/Software were updated for optimal performance"

I think I am out for ~$500 for this board ($450 for the board + repair shipping) and wasted my time researching this issue and going through the RMA process. I now have this board back that I also need to send to e-Waste for recycling. This really not an experience I expected buying from Asus.

Bitwit just did a video on his Youtube channel about RGB software causing BSOD's and crashing.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7YKtBFGZlQ

I haven't read through this entire thread, but I have this Patriot folder on my computer and do not remember installing it. I have AURA lighting effect addon instaalled as well.

Like I said, I haven't read through this entire thread so I don't know if this software has been discussed as a possible problem.
His entire video is really worth watching, I think. He did a great job.

Mike, this issue here is cause by a hardware defect due to Asus incompentence, it affects multiple boards and so far Asus has not told us exactly what mistake they made (putting components wrong way onto the board or what ever)
They did say they would replace affected boards, but only with ****ty refurb models. Embarrassing situation for Asus, hope this gets more and more media attention so that Asus looses sales, reputation and trust

what boards are definitely free from this issue?

    Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
ASUS, you KNOW what the faulty circuit is by now. this means you KNOW what boards are free from the issue.

tell us what boards are effected and whether asus is fixing production or not.

    for example is the:
ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming WIFI II guaranteed free from the start-up issue by using a different NOT affected circuit, or is it likely to also show the start-up issue?

also a reminder for ASUS: it is likely just a bit more time required, before real tech media takes on this deliberate negligence by asus and spitting on customers by asus. so maybe it would be wise to get ahead of this. but hey, let's just pull a PR nightmare i guess and massive confidence loss in all asus products, because that makes sense, right asus?

Yeah, I had gotten the impression from following new posts on this thread that it was hardware related. I also posted the email exchange I had with an ASUS rep that ended up going nowhere.

I just thought that I would share that video in case someone would find some benefit to it.

I've got this thread bookmarked and check it daily. Hopefully one of the big Youtube channels will take this on and really put some heat on ASUS.

    Appreciate your reply.

Looks like the interval for this issue has changed dramatically for me.
Haven't had it since a few weeks, until yesterday. Interval is getting longer. No idea why.
    Magical self healing? =)

Anyway... I think the general hardware quality is getting worse and worse from year to year.
I am faced with more hardware faults than years ago, with new products.
Maybe it's just bad luck, but I have noticed an increased amount of faulty hardware also from others.
Specially from manufacturers. Sometimes they get faked (relabeled) parts or B quality. Of course it depends on the source.
And not every manufacturer can pay testing the parts using electrical tests, x-ray and chemical tests like the car industry does when they get parts from brokers.

I just wonder what happened to Asus.
What's the problem? What work has to be done?
    Soldering a new connection?
Cut a connection on the PCB?
    Replacing a BGA?

Asus, please let us know, detailed. I love soldering, also with a heat gun and I don't care if it's a 0201 package type SMD component or a BGA or what ever.
