Thermopads or other cooling - M.2 SSD - GL553VD

Hi

I installed new M.2 NVMe SSD recently and it's temperature while gaming is higher than 50°C, but still lower than 70°C which is the manufacturer limit (measurements made with samsung magician). I would like to know if someone has in one's laptop thermopads or radiators on M.2 SSD which are glued on laptop cover. Should adding such a termopad decrease temperarure significantly? In the video laptop casing is metal not plastic like mine (https://youtu.be/B4NaAvtPTzM?t=36), though. I would like to decrease temperature to 50°C to increase durability.

EK makes a popular and attractive m.2 heatsink.

However, you should know that if you were using it for storage, you want NAND to be cold, but for writes the NAND needs to be warm and cutting the temp will reduce the life.

The only thing you need to cool is the controller. Biggest chip near the connector and that can be done with s simple ram sink to cover just the controller. The storage ICs prefer around 40C and running them too cool is actually not beneficial. Its the controller that gets hot and will lead to throttling if it gets too hot. Air flow in a laptop can also be problematic. Dont know that lay out but should have intake vents near the M.2 mount.
