I'm user of Z590-A and driver doesn't matter for me (old from ASUS website or latest from this forum). Using bluetooth headphones from SONY and it happens approx once per week (windows 10 or 11 making no differences).

So far, but not for long. Using Microsoft default audio driver won't solve this issue. Only thing which can help static noise to occurs more rare it's lower audio sampling rate.
I said many times before - this issue is not only driver related because static noise can happens into the BIOS, for example, which is not affected by audio driver source or version whatsoever. You can find video in 1st post.

Looks like Asus, MSI and Gigabyte are going to use the 4080 on at least some of their Z690 boards again.
I wonder if they used the flawed chip again, or if it is a revised version.
Yet Asrock again doesnt seem to use them at all. So maybe thats telling us something.Last edited by iisd; 10-28-2021 at 04:16 AM.

ASUS ROG Strix ALC4080 Codec
ASUS ROG Strix ALC4080 Codec
The random static noise is still very much there,
Using Windows 11, all latest drivers where possible,
Installed the ALC4080 FW back in July when I received my motherboard, the issue is still there
While consuming media on youtube and it happens I have to refresh page
In Netflix I only have to pause and un-pause then the issue disappears
ASUS kindly fix this issue

I have all the latest drivers, bios and Realtek firmware. In Windows 11 I got the static noise like crazy. Been using Ubuntu 21.xx without any static noise for months.

I've found new firmware from Gigabyte released 5th of November for ALC4080.
ASUS firmware from website version: 2.61.9600.69
Gigabyte firmware: 2.61.9600.71
On Gigabyte forum some says that there is no noise anymore but cant confirm this.
Got this file but I'm affraid to apply it ;P
If anyone is so brave to test it let me know
