ROG-Strix RTX3080 O10G - Tempratures normal?

Hi,

i got a new STRIX 3080 O10G (OC-Model) which runs in P-Mode (Standard/Default).

I didnt use Asus Software or something to overclock, i use the card out of the box...

When playing Cyberpunk 2077 (3440x1440 / Ultra / RT on / DLSS Quality), the card has the following dates:
Max Clock-Speed: 1980Mhz
Max Temperature: 70°C (room has about 22°C)
Max Fan-Speed: 2035 (77%)

Is that normal?

I think the Clock-Speed is ok, but 70°C is a bit high (and loud)...
And it has coil-whine... but thats a other story...

I undervolt the card to 850mV@1860Mhz - which is realy nice:
No Coilwhine
1860Mhz
63°C
1500 (67% - which is a hugh difference in loudness compared to 2035RMP)

I have 2 questions:
1. Can you please tell me your Temperature of your Card (Modell: ASUS ROG-STRIX-RTX3080-O10G-V2-GAMING) @Stock (P-Mode - without OC) under load?
2. Sometimes, out of nothing in Windows, the fans of the card starts spinning without any reason (Temperatire is 35°C). They spin for about 30 Seconds, and then stop again for a while... after that, same again... Is that normal? Does your card do this too?

Thanks a lot!

Hello,

70c seems absolutely normal for those conditions.

Nothing to worry about here ... Remember that it reads the values from the hottest place on the chip. As far as it doesn't go above 90 degrees you are all fine. Above 90 is where I would be a bit worried and would check it on clogged up dust - 100 degrees is where you should get all alarmed.

You just need to pay attention of the hotspot temp of your card.
