Issue: Unable to update device kits for Motherboard, ROG Ryujin AIO and RTX 3090; also no longer able to access Ryujin 360 AIO controls for fan curve etc. - Reformatted boot drive on C8 Dark Hero system after failed manual uninstall of Armoury Crate corrupted other programs and have not installed AC again on that machine, still have Armoury Crate in the state where it cannot update the device kit in the C8 Formula system.
    2. PC / Laptop: ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero X570 motherboard w/ Ryzen 5950X CPU, and ROG Crosshair VIII Formula w/ Ryzen 3950X CPU

    Thanks to my capture card on my streaming PC I was finally able to transcribe the text from the cmd window that flashes and then goes away:

    UPDATE: In an attempt to uninstall Armoury Crate so I can reinstall it from scratch using the uninstall tool, the uninstallation failed. The error says it cannot find FrameworkServiceSetup.exe. Here's the log:

    UPDATE: Attempted a new installation using the installer. It got stuck at "Downloading other services and components...", and then said "Installation Failed. Please restart the system and check the Internet connection status before retrying.504". I am posting this using the internet connection on the same computer. Connection is fine. My Ryujin 360 AIO is blaring at 100% speed. Well I suppose that's better than it not working at all..

    UPDATE: An additional troubleshooting step was to uninstall Armoury Crate using the Windows Add or Remove Programs function. After doing this, I attempted another installation, received the same error message as above, but with a 100 code instead of 504. Next step is to track down this Armoury Crate cleaner others in this thread speak of...

    UPDATE: Before seeking out some unofficial cleaner, I attempted another use of the official Armoury Crate Uninstaller Tool after these previous steps. Received the same error as before, cannot uninstall. Ryujin 360 AIO still running at full blast.

    I am now attempting a manual removal of all things Asus so I can start fresh, following this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrac...plete_removal/

    The first issue I ran into was with ASUS Framework Service. Using the Windows 10 Settings app's Add or Remove Programs function, an attempt to remove the ASUS Framework service gave me an identical error to the screenshot above. Then I tried the Control Panel's Uninstall a Program function since it tends to succeed where the Settings app fails in this aspect. Right away I received a different message:

    When I clicked Yes, I received another error message telling me I did not have permission to access certain files from the Framework Service, and that I would need to contact an Administrator. I am on the only user account on my PC, and it is the Administrator. Also keep in mind that prior to all of the troubleshooting steps in this list, I did run the "sfc /scannow" command from an elevated command prompt.

    On a second attempt to uninstall ASUS Framework Service from the Control Panel, I was greeted with the same dialog box as screenshotted above, but then after clicking Yes, it did not give me any more feedback. Perhaps it worked? Proceeding through the list of things to delete. There is a file currently in use inside C:\Program Files(x86)\ASUS which will not allow me to delete that folder. Proceeding to remove services and drivers, and then dive into the registry now. Probably going to destroy my entire Windows install doing this but there is no turning back now.

    UPDATE: As a last ditch effort before diving into the registry, I tried deleting all ASUS folders on my computer as shown in the above Reddit post. It would not allow me to do this as some files were in use, so I stopped all Asus services. This allowed me to delete the Asus folders. After this, I shut down my PC, turned off my PSU and disconnected my Ryujin AIO's USB. Then I reconnected the USB and turned the PSU and computer back on, received a USB Over Current error. Disconnected a few more things to start the computer, and was successful.

    This seems to have fixed the Ryujin AIO fan control, it's not longer constantly at 100%. I attempted another install of Armoury Crate, this time it appears to have succeded! I proceeded to launch Armoury Crate, and now it has been stuck at this screen for over 30 minutes:

    Ended the task through Task Manager, attempted a relaunch, and now it successfully launched after a long loading screen. Armoury Crate is recognizing my ROG Ryujin AIO, but does not recognize my ROG Dark Hero X570 motherboard or my RTX 3090 GPU anymore. In Aura Sync, all it can recognize is my G.Skill RAM. Also, when I attempt to access my Ryujin AIO's controls through Armoury Crate, it doesn't work, I just get an endless spinning wheel. Armoury Crate is somewhat reinstalled, but it doesn't really work anymore.

    UPDATE: It appears that my troubleshooting steps have, predictably as things go with Windows, negatively affected other core functionality of my PC to the point where I now need to do a clean Windows install to fix everything. Goodbye to a couple weeks of my life. It seems like the Asus services don't want to start because there are files they cannot find. This Windows installation is officially borked.

    UPDATE: My Crosshair VIII Formula streaming PC has the same issue as the Dark Hero main PC that got trashed by my troubleshooting. Luckily it is water cooled, and does not depend on Armoury Crate for CPU cooling, so I will be leaving it alone until a later update makes the device kit updates work again, and allows me to cleanly uninstall. I plan to remove every single trace of Asus software from it and run OpenRGB for lighting control.

    Aura Creator Flashes every 4 seconds when everything is selected

    1. Issue as Follows, Aura Creator when device is selected Includes all devices listed bellow. This issue is when all devices are selected, it flashes every time it tries to complete an effect. In the video bellow it can be seen using a rainbow effect. This issue didn't exist for a while and its now come back after its been fixed.

    Totally broken, back to the usual service errors on launch.
    "Checking for ages" then get "Service Error".

    What a rubbish piece of software.
    Was working fine up until 4.1.6.0 installed!

    I used the AC cleaner/uninstaller and my PC is working perfectly now. Actually my other 3 issues I have been having since the previous thread are all gone too including the "network server error" in AISUITEIII.
    ASUS please STOP adding AISUITEIII/fan functionality to Armory Crate!
    We already have software for that it's just creating bugs in both softwares, it's redundant & completely unnecessary. It's self destructive.

    So all my issues are gone but my PC looks like a gay pride parade since armory crate is completely uninstalled. I hate rainbow LEDs, please fix this software already?

    All I need AC to control is several DRGB strips and an EK waterblock, please just keep it basic, it looks like your devs bit off more than they can chew and yet just keep adding more and more and more bloatware with every update.

    Same issue here. I have Asus Throne Qi Wireless Headset stand Asus ROG Fusion 700 Gaming Headset and Asus ROG Gladius III Gaming mouse that is my peripherals pretty much the same as this user uninstalled and now can't reinstall even with anti-virus and firewall turned off which worked the first time I am stupid and never learn from my mistakes but now I know thanks to the lovely people at ROG Discord thank you MrAgapiOC for all your help. I hope the Asus ROG department working on the Armoury Crate is able to help us with this. It works on my aging Asus ROG G551JW gaming laptop though so thank goodness for that just my mini its desktop is having issues it began with updates not working properly... Thank you and hope this is all resolved soon with a MEGA Patch or Big Armoury Crate Installer update. Yayaben
