Windows 11 - Overclocking diasbled on RVE with Intel 6950X an TPM2.0 modul

    Hello,

today I installed Windows 11 x64 Pro (22000.186) on my RVE with an Intel 6950X CPU and a TPM2.0 modul.

All works fine, but my overclocking is disabled.

Renaming "mcupdate_genuineintel.dll" to "mcupdate_genuineintel.dll.old" did no help.

On the latest WIndows 10 version the overcklocking works fine.

Im am using a patched 4101 bios with "Intel Microcode Overclocking enabled". Version date is 23.7.2019.

Is there a newer version avaible?

Has somebody an other way to enable overclocking again?

    Best regards

    Problem solved

    Problem seems to be solved:

In the bios settings the value for "CPU Core Ratio" was changed. Enabling the value "Sync all Cores" with "1-Core Ratio Limit 42" solved the problem.
My CPU runs again with 4200mhz.

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack your topic but it looks like you solved the problem, so I guess I don't feel too bad.

I haven't even tried installing Windows 11. I'm waiting until it is released.

Can you walk me through everything you did to prepare your system for Windows 11? Also interested in the specific TMP2.0 module you purchased. CPU, I'm actually on the 5960x. BIOS, I'm on 3701. I currently don't have a reason to upgrade my BIOS.

I installed WIndows 11 PRO 22000.176 over my installed Windows 10 21H2 without any problems and warnings. No hack was needed.
For the upgrade to Windows 11 i used an Windows 11 ISO 22000.176.

My System: Intel 6950x, Supermicro TPM2.0 modul SuperMicro AOM-TPM-9665V-C, secure boot "on", GPT "on". Patched 4101 bios with "Intel Microcode Overclocking enabled". Version date is 23.7.2019.

I don't see BIOS 4101 on the site. Was it pulled? How can I get it?

    OK you have my attention.

Is there a solution to install Windows 11 on a Rampage V Edition 10 with an i7-6950X? I am assuming i would also need to install a TPM2 module somehow?

    HI,
You can disable all requirements and do an inplace upgrade if you want too I did with NO uefi/ gpt/ secure boot or any tpm ezpz
Not mentioned on the tutorial but upgrade disconnect from the internet works best.
