ProArt X570-CREATOR WIFI - No QVL Memory Listed for 5000 Series?

Hi,

Just got this MB today, and looking at the support site, it only shows 2000 and 3000 series APU in the dropdown. I have a 5950x that I'm putting in, and have learned the hard way to always do qvl...

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/ProArt/ProArt-X570-CREATOR-WIFI/HelpDesk_Q...

Am I missing something?

I have sent a msg to Asus support, and will post the answer here when I get it, just thought I'd ask here too just in case there is a x570 standard or something. Been a while since I did my last build, and wanted to check here.

Thank you.

For the RAM there are three QVL lists.

Motherboard Manufacturer
AMD https://www.amd.com/en/products/ryzen-compatible-memory
Ram Manufacturer

Suggest g.skill neo branded (work on all Ryzen)

One is bare minmium, two out three aint bad (like a bat out of hell lol), and all three is overkill.

Wow, Thank You RedSector73,

A lightbulb just switched on!, I've always been focused on the MB qvl. I'm sitting here thinking, got most my parts and I have to wait for an updated list......

I did a lot of Rampage Builds years ago, this one will be fun too. Appreciate the help!

Best regards,

It's nice MB, post some pics when you are done 😉

DDR4@3600 CL16 Dual Rank (DR)x2 or Single Rank (SR)x4 would be speed recommendation vs cost or if money no object ... what I have DDR4@3800 CL14 or even DDR4@4000 is also a top of the top option (for Ryzen 5000 series).

Thanks for additional reminder on 1 and 2T. Ya, money an object, problem is, building a machine is an exception! Just so I have it right, stick to 2 sticks if 2T, and fine with 4 sticks if 1T?

I fiddle with PowerDirector/Cyberlink for vid editing, and was leaning 32gb. If doing 4 sticks, still have to buy a 4 stick packet, correct?

I have a 2080ti still in the box, and waitlisted for a 3080 or ti.... so at least I can get started with the 2080 😄

And yes, when done I'll post a pic 🙂

I appreciate your guidance, I honestly didn't focus too much on memory in the past (don't know much), as doing 3 x sli, was more focused on the gpu's, 3 x surround, NV 3d... I always had problems when I maxed out the cpu and gpu's and started messing with memory.

Here's a pic of an old 680 on a Rampage that pulled some amps 🙂 Kinda funny just having 1 card now.

Thank you.

1t is always best but isnt what I was referring to.

Looking great your system 😉

Thank you for your help, got it, and truly appreciate it 🙂

Posting Asus support response as I said:

"All the RAM are compatible as long as it is included to the QVL."

But they don't have anything listed above 3200. So, got as you recommended to begin with, GSkill "neo", 3600 CL16, SS. Ended up with 4x8gb. Backordered, but good price and from NewEgg. Made sure it was on Ryzen QVL site though too, thanks for that "lightbulb". Onward.

Thank You for the info and tips.
