Just wanted to put this out there guys I have been messing with this board for a while to see if it is a good gaming board for my son and i have to say so far for how old this board is and the support for the X6 CPU with the SLI hybrid its realy not a bad older motherboard and seems to be working well with windows 7 64bit installed

i have the same board rite now and using it. i got the chv a month ago and memory just saving up for cpu then ill change to that.

What you are seeing is the effect of marketing at work. Most games these days will play just fine on older generation processors, the key factor is the graphic power of modern cards when playing at higher resolutions. Most of the time the CPU is simply the means of harnessing that graphic power.

I think you are correct on that point with one exception on the speed of the PCIe slots and I see the responce time with the formula V is much better than the II Formula and the new board seems much more stable under load but that may also be the chip set as this is the first non-NVidia chip set I have ever ran

allthough i realy liked the stability of the NVidia chip set with a set of NVidia cards. it makes me wonder if NVidia is going to release a chipset for the AMD FX line of CPU's
