An interesting little expansion board. Seems it only adds (4) additional Aquabus devices ie: Calitemp sensors, poweradjust, mps, farbwerk, and Real Time Expansion Module, all of which I don't use, hmmm.

It won't run additional fan channels or D5 pumps, hmmm. At least the device arrived with stand-off hardware, since I'm fairly skilled at blowing stuff up.

So in conclusion, I can't use it, but it's going to look "really cool" when mounted to the Aquaero 6, so that's a total win.

The RTX A2000 12GB workstation card has been in service for 2.5months working perfectly - time for some mods.

Going ahead with the copper plate mod for the graphics card memory and replacing the GPU stock thermal pad or paste with either Hydronaut or Kryonaut Extreme.

Also completing the fan cable mod which requires a D-shaped access point cut with a drill into the cooling shroud and can be made anywhere along the shroud's periphery. Unlike the video below, I'm choosing to make that access point at the back of the card at the extreme rear I/O. That way, I can run the cable out of the card behind and under the motherboard to the CPU cutout in the motherboard tray and continue on to Aquaero 6 fan channel 3 using a Noctua 4-pin PWM extension cable, so only about 3/4inch of the cable will be visible, and that's only if you are REALLY looking between the graphics card and bottom edge of the rear I/O, so 95% hidden from view - outstanding.

Ordered the copper plate and Wera Torx TX6 driver today, the fan cable Male Micro PH2.0 Mini 4-pin to Female PWM 4-pin and Wera Torx TX8 driver are already here, only need to order the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme and will be all set to begin the mods next week.

The RTX A2000 requires Torx 6 and Torx 8 drivers to break down the card.

Only one video per post it seems, so here's the fan cable mod. This guy does not drill an access point in the cooling shroud, and it also appears his shroud does not reseat completely when he's attempting to replace it after connecting the cable, not certain why he does this, there is NO space for the cables to feed unless you create an access point, the shroud is 100% air-sealed to the PCB from the factory.

To preface, this enthusiast in the video is attempting the fan cable mod to increase mining hash rate by offloading PCB fan pwr to a motherboard or fan controller, while my purpose is to gain the ability to adjust fan speed below the Nvidia factory LOCKED setting of 30% to maintain an inaudible work environment - same mod different objectives.

Yes, the RTX A2000 12GB did become "slightly" audible since I first purchased the card in late May of this year. The fan cable needed for the mod can be picked up from Amazon for $7.99.

Bartxstore completed, tested shunt mod & waterblock for RTX A2000 card, adding the 5mohm resistor in parallel to the existing one bumps up card to 1170/5900, or 50,23 MH/s.

Hey, an RTX A2000 water block would solve all my noise and heat issues...

Sir Braegnok, well known hardware super-enthusiast of ROGingtonboroughminstershire, where hast thou been keeping thyself?

My RTX A2000 has become a bit noisy - and that is some **** up with which we will not put.

    ------

Are you making some extra $$$ on the side with your A2000? lol I'm only trying to gain full control of the fan speed and drop the idle thermals of the GPU and memory chips - I'm not mining.

Although that water block does look really sweet.

Yes sir, I will be upgrading to Z790 Apex when it is released.

Here is the order site for the A2000 water block : https://bartxstore.com/shop/rtx-a2000-waterblock/

It's on back order now, I ordered one a few days ago,.. cool & silent is the way to roll.

I think the EK-Quantum Torque Micro Rotary 90 fittings will look sweet on the SFF card: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-quantum...tary-90-nickel

Ordering from Bartxstore is different, you need to get/send a quote after adding item to cart,.. for shipping & tax,.. than you can pay with PayPal.
