Thanks Webster,

I received the M13A board last week, should have Hynix 5333MHz memory kit this afternoon.

DHL Express tracking shows my Hynix kit is out for delivery, looking forward to running 5866MHz.

Lol, you have some amazing hardware, congratulations Braegnok, outstanding high performance gear "ROG brother" - hoping you really enjoy it! My M13Apex is my 5th Asus ROG board and 2nd Apex board. Wish it wasn't so pricey but it's so beautifully made, all heavy metal heatsinks, no plastic covers allowed, lol, and I've had no issues extremely happy with the CPU and mem kit OC results, all expectations going in - greatly exceeded, the board is well worth the money for all it gives in return.

Not certain it will make a difference but I'm still running bios 0903 with PTT "enabled" for Windows 11. Have not tried the Gskill 5333 kit with the newer 1007 bios, not yet. Also looks like you have some EK water parts in your photo? WOW, if you're watercooling your 11900K's IMC - cannot wait to see your mem oc results! 🙂

------

I kinda wish I'd gotten the 11900K to create the "no CPU OC with 5.3Ghz stock boost (with super-low stock thermals) with the mem kit running at 5600Mhz and 5866Mhz profiles", since responsiveness is so high, the CPU OC doesn't really add much more, and for my work apps - that's all I need, and some heat is eliminated running RKL stock vs OC.

But if your work apps benefit greatly from extended CPU processing, then adding a Per Core CPU overclock (independent clock speed for each core) will be a better profile I would guess - with additional heat to manage of course.

Didn't think my Noctua cooler could manage 8-cores 16threads of Rocket Lake overclocked so went with the 11600K i5 6-core. Oh well, next time I'll know my work apps responsiveness doesn't really benefit so much from a CPU OC, when running super-high mem bandwidths.

Knowing that, my plan for Raptor Lake will be the Maximus Z790 Apex board and the 13900K 8-core with 5.5GHz stock boost, and the fastest Gskill DDR5 I can afford.

Hope your Hynix DJR/Gskill 5333 kit arrives today, first thing you will notice when unpacking is with the Royal Elite skus Gskill runs the protective plastic coating way up over the top of the cooling fins unlike the standard Royal sku, for additional slow-motion peeling pleasure. lol 😛

It's a beautiful mem kit.

I received memory this afternoon, tested OK.

Got the mora 420 lines ran into chassis, installed manifold. will start installing blocks/tubing tonight.

Went with BartXstore copper heatshields on the memory https://bartxstore.com/ ,and Alphacool copper x4 block.

Generally I use EK Monarch x4 blocks on my memory,.. the x4 blocks offer more surface area, better flow than the x2 blocks,.. they just hang over the edge a bit. lol

I'll be loading the 5866MHz profiles this weekend, thanks for the help. 😄

Oh My God! Watercooling your Gskill 5333Mhz Hynix DJR highspeed mem kit? Such an amazing decision going with the less expensive heatsinks with zero rgb, just gonna strip the kit down anyways.

So impressed, so much wow! 😄 And the Mora 420 is another dream of mine.

With your awesome cooling, maybe attempt the 6133Mhz run in this video below if/when you feel more comfortable with the voltages and thermals, like way later a few weeks after initial testing. WOW! Bing from ROG with a step by step video for Hynix DJR OC'd to 6133Mhz. lol maybe in a few weeks give it a try once your hardware is broken in sweet and you feel comfortable with the attempt.

First thing I did after installation was test the mem kit for 5333Mhz CL22 XMP right out of the box... We know it can do much better.

Gotta test that kit within the 30day return window... Good Luck ROG brother! 😄

I'm still running on air cooling few more days, finishing up installing Windows 11 Pro, software, benchmarking tools.. waiting on active backplate.

DHL tracking shows my 3090 FE active backplate in Denver yesterday,.. so hopefully by Tuesday will switch over to water.

XMP 1 profile works great with 5333MHz kit, so will go ahead and load 5600, 5866 profiles tomorrow after work,.. than after getting everything flipped over to water will give 6133MHz profile a go. 😉

Good to see you guys managed to bag some of those amazing kits and put them to good use. Won't be many on the market!

Thanks Silent Scone - these Gskill 5333Mhz mem kits are sweet as honey. But for some odd reason they almost feel like a well kept secret - nobody knows about them?

OR that they are 5600 and 5866 (6133) capable? Just seems very strange that all of the tech reviewers and tech news are staying so quiet about these kits. You'd think Der8auer or one of the YouTube overclockers would feature a video and spread the good word. Yea, I know DDR5 is almost here but it's still such a mystery.

What's faster DDR4 5866Mhz CL21 daily on air or DDR5 6400Mhz CL36 daily on air? Does anyone really know? lol 🙂

@Braegnok, congrats on the initial XMP 5333/22 benchmark. Wooo! 😄

First few attempts of 5600Mhz you may want to try CL22, then CL21, then CL20, also go with 1.675v or 1.650v. Can always reduce voltage to 1.625v later on.

My Mhz CL and voltage values in the first post are NOT first few attempts. Obviously, those Mhz and CL and voltages are the best I could achieve on air after I spent some time with the kit...

The tech media isn't well known for covering overclocking well or in fact at all in most spaces, so when it comes to halo kits such as these there won't be much coverage. Roman is the only one that springs to mind that would be capable of covering memory in this way and these kits won't be sold in any real quantity. The boards and having a CPU that can achieve these things unconditionally makes it more of a niche, too. A really impressive one, though 😄
