MAXIMUS Z690 HERO - BIOS 0702 Breaks Essence STX II 7.1

Issue - Essence STX II 7.1 with Z690 Hero.

Upgrading BIOS to version 0702, the soundcard no longer sends sound through the RCA left/right jacks.

Moved the card between PCIEX16(G5)_1 and PCIEX16(G4) makes no difference.

Reverting back to original 0237 fixes it. Both BIOS used default settings except: XMP 1; USB Audio, Bluetooth and Wi-fi disabled.

You can update the BIOS to latest release but you have to change the following BIOS setting.

Advanced - System Agent (SA) Configuration
"VT-d" to "Disable IOMMU"

after that the sound card works 🙂

You are amazing! I had just upgraded my bios and my ASUS d2x stopped working and this fixed the issue.
