The warning message below appears in my Windows 11 system event log a few dozen times per day. This started immediately after my initial build a few weeks ago.

A corrected hardware error has occurred.

Could this be a driver issue? Maybe a hardware problem with the motherboard? I have the latest Intel Chipset drivers installed according to Armoury Crate.

Do you have any issues while got this warning message?
Have it occurred on win10 or you install win11 in the beginning?
If you update bios 0702 and restore bios to all default settings, do you also get the warning message?
May I have the Intel Chipset drivers version?

No, I've noticed no problems related to the warning.

This is a new Windows 11 install, not an upgrade.

If you update bios 0702 and restore bios to all default settings, do you also get the warning message?

My current BIOS is 0503. I didn't think to check for a newer version since Armoury Crate reports "No new BIOS available". Lesson learned. I'll give this a try.

May I have the Intel Chipset drivers version?

Intel Chipset driver version is 10.1.18838.8284.

I still get the same warning after updating the BIOS to 0702 and installing latest drivers, including Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management drivers. The waring isn't correlated to any specific device activity I've identified or causing issues. It is a bit concerning, though.

Does the warning message appear right away after you boot into windows or open the specific apps?

Yes. I double-checked by loading optimized defaults again and no changes were made.

The warning often shows shortly after a reboot but not always. Below are the timings of the first warning over the last several reboots.

7 minutes later
none
10 minutes later
10 seconds later
10 seconds later
12 seconds later
8 seconds later

The messages occur sporadically 24x7 so it's not related to interactive apps nor correlated to other messages in the system or application event logs that might track background process activity.

Here are example details from a recent warning event. An internet search for the meaning of CorrectableErrorStatus found a few arcane references to PCIe structures and registers but nothing actionable. The CorrectableErrorStatus values are either 0x1000 and 0x1100.

I forgot to mention the warning message began immediately after my initial build with only the boot SSD in the M.2_2 slot at the time. The other PCIe devices were added later.

Thought this might help avoid going down a rabbit hole.
