After last night, apparently MoKiChu is correct about the driver black listing apps.

This doesn't make much sense to me. As a program, if I can do it, you should be able to do it too.

Perhaps its chipset related, so they only blacklisted a range from to 590 - 690 mobos.
On my old pc with Maximus Formula IX board, then i had several programs/apps incl. firefox on advanced audio list.
And it was not a problem.

So i guess its from 590 chipsets and up regarding the blacklisting.

Looks like we need to find another app.

I don't know if it would make a difference but I'm using headphones and a mic (3.5mm jacks) connected to the back of the motherboard.

    I also tryed that option.
Even with back and front with my earphones.

The only thing i noticed was the sound was way to loud.
But it helped after i lowered the bars to allmost 0

I tried microsoft edge and I have no control over sound unless I use google chrome in the list, I wonder if this is where microsoft edge is trying to redirect you to.

But even so, google chrome doesn't show in your list.

Are you able to use Basic mode with the EQ and sliders with any apps?

Seems like MS edge has a different kind of blacklisting going on.
It can show up on the list but cant be controlled.

Yes i can use basic mode for any apps. with EQ and same options advanved mode has.
But im using the advanced mode for my winamp or else the radio stations i listen to
is to loud compared to games.

So for now i have set basic mode to extreme and volumed the bar up to 100 %
Since that increases the sound for what i watch or listen to in firefox or chrome if i was using that browser.

When i swicth to advanced mode then the basic mode settings i made is saved for all apps beside the ones i changed in advanced mode.
Like winamp i set to balanced with 100 % volume bar and then each game i play i set to extreme 100 % vol.

This is the best solution i have to control the sounds to my personal use.

Its still just strange why they blacklisted some apps.
People could just untick the volume settings or sellect none under EQ.
And then firefox would not mess with anything.

But i found some post where people complain about firefox/chrome crashing with ss3
So ther ultimate solution was blacklisting to make doubtless people not having this problem.

Ok, we've now got a grasp of what's going on and why. We know you can use Basic mode, I don't see advanced mode too big of a deal as Basic mode is all I use too.

I set it to where it sounds good for my games with volume/effects which puts the windows volume around 35%-40%. Then when I want to listen to music loud, I crank up the windows volume, I might play with the EQ depending on the song.

So all in all it sounds good, play around with it for a while and let me know how you like it.
