As title.
Does DIMM.2 "cartridge" reduces PCIe lanes of other peripherals on my Z690 Extreme mobo?

Suppose that I Load two SSDs on the DIMM.2 slot.
Does it disables some perihperals or reduces the pcie lanes of some PCIe slots, or it disables USB, ethernet card or something similar?

Hello,

In the z690 Extreme DIMM.2 shares the 8x PCIe4.0 shared DMI lanes to the PCH so no switching of dedicated PCIe lanes as would be the case with CPU PCIe. It means they can also be used by the Intel RST controller for Optane acceleration or a RAID configuration.
When the SSDs are being used heavily theoretically other peripherals connect to the PCH might go slower but in practice I don't think that bottleneck is likely to happen with current SSD technology.
