Same setup here, but I'll keep bios 0803, the Crucial ram is stable for me if I use the "bios optimized defaults" + XMP II profile (anything else = BSOD). Don't need more power for now, so I'm happy with the tradeoff.

Same here 4 x 16gb (64g) of Corsair Vengenace 4800, only XMP value I can use is 4266mhz which is stable in games, Watch Dogs Legion is a good game that will let u know of stability issues, Valhalla took between 10-15 mins to trigger a BSOD. Bios 803.

There are a fair few articles around and posts here on the forum highlighting that four sticks of DDR5 on Z690 with Alder Lake has a max supported frequency of 4000Mhz.

Trying to go higher than that is an unsupported overclock currently as I understand things.

Maybe that will get better with more time to mature the BIOS etc, but might be that it won't change until Raptor Lake or later.

Ah that is interesting, I got it stable using XMP 1 but only at 4266, anything over that is Russian roulette

So far I have no problem with all BIOS used and my two 5200Mhz DDR5 module, no BSODs and yet I have done tons of benchmarks. I just downloaded the latest BIOS 0811 and I'm doing some tests for the moment everything is ok.

XMP1 / 2 work nice on my MB.

    I use Corsair Vengeance.

I found this article after ElectronSpin posted above in regards to 4000 being the official speed if all ram slots are populated, he is right and this is why xmp is not working for most of us using DDR5 https://www.anandtech.com/show/16959...november-4th/4
