Win 11, bsod, apps randomly closing, only with xmp enabled. Corsair ddr5.

I got this with the 803 and the beta 811, back on 803 at the moment, 4 dimm slots populated with 16gb x 4 DDR5 Corsair vengeance 4800mhz. The only XMP setting that will work is if I reduce the MHZ to 4266.

Mine still won't boot with one stick of 16GB Team Group Delta 6000 in DIMM slot A2 at XMP1, even does it when dropped to 4800(default). Q-Code 55

Only boots when RAM placed in B1, B2

Tried re-seating CPU/ slackening off AIO bracket - no change.

Interesting. I got exactly the same problem. Booting was only possible with RAM in B1 and B2. Only after I changed the motherboard, I could get the RAM working in A2 and B2, or any of the A sockets. I still do not understand the reason. But when I dismantled the first board, I realized some scratches over the hairline prints around the sockets holes. It looks like these hairlines prints provide current to the DIMM sockets (?). Not sure, anyway, after changing the board, the memory worked. So, it was clearly a hardware problem related to the board.

Bios is working great here. Maximus Hero, I9 12900k, 2x16gb G-Skill Trident 6000mhz cl36m @ 6200mhz. 5.5ghz on 3 cores, 5.4 on the rest. 29,000 Cine R23. Is it maybe certain brands of memory? I was running Crucial 2x8gb 4600mhz cl40 @ 5200mhz without a problem also on previous bios.

Sadly so many memory issues, from what I have been reading, it has something to do, with the DDR5 spec, and might not be able to be rectified, and might be exacerbated by have 4 memory slots. I couldn't get my Corsair Platinum 5200 running with XMP, until I realised I didn't have them in the primary slots (I only have a kit of 2x16Gb), I eventually managed to get mine to run at 5600Mhz but only with really slow latency, so I put it back to XMP. Have you tried getting XMP working with just 2 stick of RAM in the A2 and B2 slots, see if you can get that working, and then if you can add the other 2 sticks in afterwards?
