On the bios webpage for the Rog Strix Z690-A D4 board there appears to be a new bios update 0901. On the webpage as of right now there seems to not be any information provided about what's new in this update.

All good for me, 0807 was not memory stable for me, 0901 is.

What speeds were you not able to run on 0807? What are you currently running? I am running 4 dual 16gb sticks at 3733Mhz on 0807 and that seems to be stable. I couldn't get them to run at anything higher though and am wondering if the newer bios will allow for those higher speeds I want.

0807 is buggy with SR sticks, couldn't get xmp 3200 stable, 0901 fixed it. Running 3800 cl15. Yeah I can't get over 3800 without killing my primary timings, Just settled for 3800.

Well, with the bios 0812, my 4x16 Gb B-Die kit 3200C14 @ 3400C14 could reach 50k MB/s in read with a latency close to 50ns.

But with this bios I could not use another 4x8 Gb B-die 4000C18, not even booting with XMP:

With the latest one, 0901.

The first kit reaches only 45k MB/s and 70ns.

But now I can boot my 32 Gb kit 4000C18 but the results are ridiculous. It's out performed by the first one OCed to 3400C14...

Asus ! waht's wrong with this board ?

In the mean time I noticed that the mem controller was in 1:4...

Yeah, I updated the bios and I know if I changed the primary timings more I could possibly run higher than 3733Mhz but the headache is too unbearable so I kept to the same timings as the previous upgrade. Attached below are screenshots before and after bios upgrades of my aida64 scores.

Here you go. Let me know what you are able to achieve with the new bios!

BIOS 807 is working perfectly. AVX512 is working. Memtest passed.
All stock DR 3600mhz CL16 2N => 55.9ns

What is the Intel "serial IO" for?
Is the VMD the RAID controller? I'm fairly sure I can disable it safely.
Can the plastic shroud be removed safely?
Why did Asus choose bright aluminium and white when black would have been better?
